At that point, Allianz was an early pioneer in the market being one of the first international insurers to receive a license for the non-life insurance business in Japan. In the initial phase, our main clients consisted of multinational business firms. However, making use of the Group’s network and its vast expertise and underwriting capacity, we have been able to expand our business to serve Japanese companies mainly in corporate insurance and risk management.
Furthemore, in this new environment, where increasing competition is expected, we will continue to accelerate our business infrastructure and innovative approach.
